Reports have been received that Palau flag vessel VERBENA (7,485gt, built 2008) was struck by a missile earlier today whilst approximately 127 miles southeast of Adan.
There was an explosion followed by a fire on board the vessel and one crew member was reported to be injured.
This is the second attack in two days and follows the incident yesterday involving the bulk carrier TUTOR.
VERBENA, a general cargo vessel, had sailed from Songkhla on 22 May 2024, headed for Suez.
