Reports have been received that the U.K.-registered containership EVER LENIENT suffered a container fire while berthed at PSA Pasir Panjang Terminal, Singapore, at about 1500 hrs on 10 April 2026.

It is understood that all crew members were accounted for and no injuries or oil pollution were reported. Firefighting operations continued through the night and the fire was confirmed extinguished on 11 April 2026. PSA Singapore is assisting with the safe discharge of the affected containers, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Port operations at Pasir Panjang Terminal were reported to have remained unaffected.

Public AIS data indicates that the vessel moved within Singapore on 12 April 2026 and remained moored in Singapore as at 16 April 2026. Public voyage data shows that the vessel had most recently called Ningbo and Shanghai before Singapore.

As well as cargo damage, it is possible that claims for salvage and general average may arise as a result of this incident.
