Reports have been received that Liberian flag vessel TRUE CONRAD (108237gt, built 2017), ran aground off Brazil last week.
The bulk carrier, loaded with iron ore, became stuck in Ilha Grande Bay on 11 May 2023. The vessel is reported to be down by the stern with a slight list to starboard.
TRUE CONRAD had sailed from Itaguai the previous day, bound for Singapore. The vessel is still aground.
