Reports have been received that Indonesian flag vessel ROSA DINI (23217gt, built 2003) experienced a fire while docked at Jurong Port Tank Terminals (JPTT) in Singapore at 0730 hrs, local time, today.

The local port authority (MPA) was informed about a blaze on the vessel with smoke observed coming from the forward part of the vessel.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force, along with marine and land-based firefighting forces, MPA patrol craft, and the port’s emergency response unit, were deployed.

The fire has been extinguished and all crew members that were on the vessel, a chemical tanker, are reported to be safe.

As a precautionary measure, cargo operations at adjacent berths have been suspended, and a nearby vessel at the berth has been shifted to the anchorage.

Prior to this call, ROSA DINI had sailed from Tuban, Indonesia, on 08 June 2023.
