Reports have been received that Comoros flag vessel Phoenix 15 (4,742gt, built 2009) has sunk off the coast of Oman.

Phoenix 15, a small feeder vessel carrying up to 346 TEU, but was partially loaded and en route from Jebel Ali Port, UAE to Jeddah Port, Saudi Arabia, with additional calls at Oman, but will have cargoes destined around the world.

All 20 crew members were rescued by a nearby commercial vessel, Gulf Barakah, at the time of the incident.

The vessel’s last ports of call were Jebel Ali, sailing on 8 June 2025, and Hamriya in UAE, sailing on 30 May 2025.
