Reports have been received that Marshall Islands flag vessel PHILLIP BAY (25,546gt, built 2015) suffered a fire on board yesterday. The vessel was reported as not under command as a result.
At the time PHILLIP BAY was on a voyage from Las Palmas to Le Havre. French tug ABEILLE LIBERTE was sent to provide assistance.
This incident may give rise to claims for salvage and/or general average.
