Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel LIDER PERIHAN (7,800gt, built 2020) suffered an engine failure yesterday off the coast of Turkiye.
The vessel’s crew members could not repair the damage, and the ship owners requested towage assistance.
Tug POTHITOS II attended the scene and the convoy is now en route to Bodrum, with an eta of later today.
LIDER PERIHAN, a container vessel, was on a voyage from Ambarli to Alexandria at the time of the incident.
This incident may give rise to claims for salvage and/or general average.
