Reports have been received that UK flag vessel INDIAN PARTNERSHIP (95,009gt, built 2014) ran aground off Misool, Indonesia yesterday.

The ship’s master took the decision to drop anchor after the bulker, carrying a cargo of 178.087mt bauxite, experienced a leak in its hull, which had almost caused the vessel to sink.

All 22 crew members are reported to be safe and remain on board waiting for technicians to arrive to repair the leak.
