Reports have been received that Cyprus flag vessel GUANG RONG (5,264gt, built 2001) ran aground yesterday at Marina de Massa, Italy.
The general cargo vessel, which trades between ports in Italy, is apparently aground on the beachfront with its stern resting against the Pontile de Marina de Massa pier.
The crew were rescued without reported injury. A helicopter is monitoring the situation.
