Reports have been received that Vietnamese flag vessel DOLPHIN 18 (4,963gt, built 1999) sank earlier today in a position approximately 274 miles southwest of Vang Tau.
All 18 members of the crew were rescued by a nearby vessel NICOLAI MAERSK. They are being taken to Tanjung Pelepas.
Prior to this incident DOLPHIN 18, a general cargo vessel, is reported to have called at Motukea Island in Papua New Guinea and Manokwari in Indonesia.
