Reports have been received that Liberian flag vessel ALTZEK (44,003gt, built 2012) suffered an explosion and fire on board off Mozambique on 13 April 2025.
The incident, which caused injury to four crew members, originated in the engine room of the vessel.
Fire fighting teams attended the scene and the vessel is now being assessed to determine whether the voyage to Poland can continue as originally planned.
