Reports have been received that Liberian flag vessel LONDON 2012 (43,158gt, built 2007) ran aground shortly after sailing from Sao Francisco do Sul on 11 March 2023.
We understand that the bulk carrier is still aground. Tugs are in attendance. The vessel is carrying a cargo of soy beans.
It is possible that claims for salvage and general average may arise as a result of this incident.
