Reports have been received that Marshall Islands flag vessel PAPAYIANNIS III (34,374gt, built 2010) suffered a generator failure in the Bay of Bengal on 28 April 2023.
The bulk carrier has been unable to resolve the problem and vessels in the vicinity have been asked to keep a look out.
MRCC Colombo have reported that towage has been arranged.
