Reports have been received that Singaporean flag vessel WAN HAI 288 (20,899gt, built 2021) was in collision with Hong Kong flag vessel AMC NAVIGATOR off Hong Kong on 17 November 2021.
Both vessels were underway at the time. WAH HAI 288, a container vessel, suffered heavy damage in the bow area. AMC NAVIGATOR, a bulk carrier, is also seriously damaged.
It is reported that WAN HAI 288 was unable to avoid AMC NAVIGATOR has would normally be required because movement was restricted by the presence of another vessel on the port side.
