Reports have been received that Liberian flag vessel ALEXIS (45,271gt, built 2012) ran aground earlier today off Haydarpasa, Turkey.
Strait traffic has been closed or at least restricted whilst efforts are made to refloat the vessel.
ALEXIS is a bulk carrier on a voyage from Yuzhnyi in Ukraine to Port Said in Egypt.
