Reports have been received that Marshall Islands flag vessel YANGTZE OASIS (23,148gt, built 2013) experienced an engine breakdown off Cies islands on 28 February 2019.
The vessel requested assistance from Salvamento Marítimo. Subsequently, the vessel was towed to Vigo, Spain, where she arrived earlier today.
It is possible that claims for salvage and general average may arise as a result of this incident.
