Reports have been received that bulk carrier ZEUS I (16833 gt, built 2009) experienced main engine damage in position at about 200 nautical miles south east of Azores yesterday.
The vessel proceeded to Ponta Delgada for repair, according to the local Lloyd’s agent.
ZEUS I is on a voyage to Three Rivers Canada. She previously called at Algeciras and Itea.
It is possible that General Average may be declared as a result of this incident.
