Reports have been received that Hong Kong flag vessel GREAT QIN (91751gt, built2010) ran aground on Monday this week off Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.
Plans are currently being made to try to refloat the bulk carrier so she can resume her voyage to Shandong, China.
Whilst no cargo damage has been reported, it is possible that this incident may lead to claims for salvage and general average against cargo interests.
