Reports have been received that Russian flag vessel USSURI (4790gt built2002) has run aground in Dzhigit Bay, Sea of Japan. A salvage tug has been sent to assist the vessel.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
