Reports have been received that Maltese flag vessel CEMENT VOYAGER (3,995gt built 1993) suffered an engine failure off Laurium on 12th September.
As a result, the vessel needs to be towed into Tuzla for repair. We understand that tug MARIN TUG II has been contracted for the operation.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
