Reports have been received that Dutch flag vessel SLUISGRACHT (16639gt built 2001) has run aground outside Flushing following engine problems.
The general cargo vessel sailed from Suape on 1st May 2010. It is understood she is en route to Antwerp. Tugs are proceeding to the scene to assist the casualty.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
