Reports have been received that a distress signal was received from Hong Kong general cargo vessel JIN TIAN (6551gt, built 2010) by the Japanese Coast Guard on Monday this week.
Shortly afterwards the vessel reportedly sank approximately 110 kilometres west of Danjo Islands, located near Nagaski Prefecture.
The vessel had a total of 22 crew members on board with 13 rescued so far.
