Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel APOLLO TRIUMPH (8,718gt, built 2010) suffered a fire on board today whilst in the Mozambique Channel.
Vessels in the area with fire-fighting capability have been asked to provide assistance if possible.
APOLLO TRIUMPH sailed from Cape Town on 19 December and is destined for Dar es Salaam. Prior to this the vessel had called at ports in West Africa and Europe.
