Reports have been received that Singapore flag vessel THOR MONADIC (31,247gt, built 2006) suffered a fire on board yesterday whilst berthed at Sanko Port Yumurtalik, Turkiye.
The fire broke out in hold no 5. The vessel, a bulk carrier, is carrying a cargo of coal and was en route from Ban Map Ta Phut, Thailand.
No injuries have been reported. Fire fighting operations are continuing.
