Reports have been received that Liberian flag vessel CONTSHIP CUB (11,716gt, built 2013) suffered a propulsion breakdown earlier today shortly after sailing from Vigo, Spain.
The container vessel, which was destined for Algeria, had to be towed back to Vigo by two Spanish tugs, where the vessel remains at this time.
This incident may give rise to claims for salvage and/or general average.
