Reports have been received that Hong Kong flag vessel DA DAN XIA (20,949gt, built 2009) suffered a power failure in the Indian Ocean on 26 November 2022.
The general cargo ship, on a voyage to Surabaya, has deviated into Colombo as a port of refuge, where repairs will be undertaken. Reportedly the auxiliary engine failed.
