Reports have been received that Chinese flag vessel HUA HANG 1 (6,387gt, built 2006) suffered a fire on board yesterday whilst in the East China Sea.
The container vessel, which usually operates between ports in Taiwan, sent a distress signal and tug BEI HAI JIU 101 was sent to assist. The crew of HUA HANG 1 have been taken off the vessel.
