Reports have been received that Gabon flag vessel MORAZ (7,617gt, built 1995) ran aground earlier today off Iskenderun.
No injuries or pollution were reported but the vessel has suffered serious structural damage and sea water ingress.
Salvage efforts have not yet commenced because of poor weather conditions.
MORAZ is reported to have sailed from Ashdod for Iskenderun on 28 February 2022.
