Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel MSC KATRINA (140,096gt, built 2012) suffered a fire on board yesterday off Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
The containership became disabled as a result and has been taken in tow by salvage tug SA AMANDLA which was sent out from Cape Town.
The convoy is on its way to Durban although there may be delays entering the port because of bad weather conditions.
