Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel MESSILA (7,769gt, built 2004) ran aground off the coast of Tilos, Greece on 27 August 2020.
The vessel has on board a cargo of wind turbine blades on board, is on a voyage from Mersin to Haydarpasa.
The ship owners have engaged salvors to assist and an underwater inspection has been carried out. The vessel has been refloated and is now at anchor where divers will try to ascertain the extent of structural damages.
