Reports have been received that Sierra Leone flag vessel LI FUNG (6,655gt built 1994), which sailed from Kaohsiung on 22 December 2019, suffered a cargo shift on 24 December.
The ship’s master contacted the Taiwanese MRCC reporting a heavy list to starboard. The vessel was granted permission to enter Keelung as port of refuge.
The vessel has on board a cargo of sucrose loaded at Kaohsiung and destined for Busan.
