Reports have been received that Maltese flag vessel ELENI M. (28,718gt, built 2001) ran aground near the port of Nueva Palmira yesterday.
ELENI M. is apparently obstructing navigation and salvage services have been arranged.
The bulk carrier is on a voyage to Russia with a cargo of 36,000mt of soya beans. She sailed from Recalada on 23rd March.
