Reports have been received that UK flag vessel LYSBLINK SEAWAYS (7,409gt, built 2000) ran aground earlier today at Kilchoan near Ardnamurchan Point in the West Highlands.
Tugs are expected to assist the vessel in re-floating. There is also a lifeboat on standby at the scene although reportedly the vessel is not in immediate danger and there are no current reports of any injuries.
The vessel is on a voyage from Belfast, UK to Fiborgtangen, Norway. It is possible that salvage and/or general average claims will arise as a result of this incident.
