Reports have been received that Panama flag vessel ID TRADER (6264gt built 1996) suffered an engine breakdown in the Mediterranean Sea on 30th January 2010.
The general cargo vessel, which sailed from Taranto on 28th January destined for Kandla, reported herself in need of assistance.
It is possible that a salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
