Reports have been received that Maltese flag vessel REBORN (4897gt built 1975) has suffered engine failure on a voyage from Greece to Israel.
As a result, professional salvors Five Oceans Salvage have been engaged on LOF terms. The vessel will be towed into port.
A salvage claim will be made against the owners/insurers of the cargo on board this vessel. Security will be required on terms acceptable to Lloyd’s. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
