Reports have been received that Comoros flag vessel PRESTIGE FALCON (4,422gt built 2007) sank on the morning of 15 July 2024 off the coast of Oman.
The Omani authorities reported the incident and that a search a rescue operation is currently underway.
It is not yet known what led to the sinking. The vessel had been at anchor off the UAE for several weeks prior to the incident, before recently sailing in a south easterly direction along the coast of Oman.
