The bulk carrier is obstructing navigation and has been unable to refloat by its own means to date.
Tugs PORTOBELO and PUNTA BRAVA initially attended and there is now a third tug, MATRERO, on its way to the casualty.
CYMONA PRIDE sailed from Tubarao, Brazil on 27 October. The vessel has on board a cargo of 40,750mt of iron ore and is destined for Villa Constitucion, Argentina.
