Reports have been received that Liberian flag vessel LADY ZEHMA (20,283gt, built 2005) ran aground yesterday whilst entering the Istanbul Strait.
Rescue services are responding and are in attendance at Bebek Bay. Steering gear failure has been reported to be the reason for the accident.
LADY ZEHMA, a bulk carrier, is on a voyage from Chornomorsk to Istanbul.
