Reports have been received that Belize flag vessel UNIPROFIT (6,653gt, built 1995) suffered a power failure on 07 March 2022 and drifted aground off Jigang Port on the Philippine Sea.
The vessel has a crew of 16 and 149 containers on board. No injuries or pollution have been reported. The local authorities are expecting a tug from Taiwan to assist.
UNIPROFIT is on a voyage from Yantai to Bahodopi.
