Reports have been received that Dutch flag vessel BEAUMAIDEN (2,545gt, built 2008) ran aground last week off the port of Ronne, Denmark.
The vessel’s owners have engaged professional salvors Multraship Salvage BV and Smit Salvage BV on a Lloyd’s Open Form (LOF) salvage contract.
Before the cargo can be delivered cargo insurers will be expected to provide security. It is also possible that general average will be declared.
