Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel HODZI (15,666gt, built 1988) suffered a mechanical failure yesterday in the Aegean Sea north of Karistos, Greece.
The vessel drifted towards shore but was able to drop anchor off Andros. It is understood that towage assistance has been requested.
HODZI is on a voyage from Gemlik to Sfax. Claims for Salvage and General Average may arise as a result of this incident.
