Date: 01 August 2021   Type: Water Ingress   Voyage: Vietnam to Bangladesh

Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel TAN BINH 127 (9,235gt, built 2001) suffered sea water ingress whilst in the Andaman Sea on 1 August 2021.

The vessel was abandoned by its crew about 150 north west of Phuket. The crew were rescued by a passing container vessel MCC CHITTAGONG.

TAN BINH 127 was on a voyage from Ho Chi Minh City to Chittagong at the time of the incident. The vessel sailed from Vietnam on 25 July 2021.
