Reports have been received that Comoros flag vessel OCEAN TRADER (2,745gt, built 1993) suffered an explosion on board today whilst berthed at Jebel Ali.
Despite the large explosion, according to local sources no injuries have been reported. The explosion seems to have been in a cargo towards the fore of the ship. Efforts are being made to control the fire.
