Reports have been received that Dutch flag vessel EEMSLIFT HENDRIKA (5460 gt, built 2015), issued a distress signal, after developing a heavy list, in the Norwegian sea, 60 nautical miles west of Olesund, Norway earlier today.
Reportedly, the general cargo vessel developed the list after a cargo shift. According to reports, eight crew members, out of twelve, were already taken off the vessel.
Salvage craft including tugs are under way towards the casualty. Four crew members remain on board attempting to salvage the ship.
