Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel SEROJA LIMA (86,682gt, built 2011) is diverting into Freeport, Bahamas, as a port of refuge.
The containership has lost 27 containers overboard with another 90 damaged containers still on board. Cargo will be discharged and re-stowed in Freeport before the voyage continues.
The vessel’s last port of call was Singapore from where it sailed on 1 November 2020. Prior to this the vessel loaded cargo in Cai Mep, Yantian, Mawan, Nansha, Hong Kong and Tanjung Pelepas.
