Reports have been received that Italian flag vessel GRANDE AMERICA (56,642gt, built 1997) suffered a fire on board yesterday off the French Coast.
It is understood that the vessel’s crew abandoned ship after the fire spread to several containers.
GRANDE AMERICA is on a voyage to Casablanca. Her last port of call was Hamburg from where she sailed on 8th March 2019.
