Reports have been received that Bahamas flag vessel LYRIC POET (44,203gt, built 2012) has run aground off Tanjung Pandan, Indonesia.
The bulk carrier is on a voyage from Australia to China. She sailed from her load port, Albany, on 16th March 2017.
It is possible that claims for salvage and/or general average will arise as a result of this incident, and be made against cargo receivers/insurers.
