Reports have been received that Singaporean flag vessel STELLA CHERISE (91,407gt, built 2010) was in collision with Isle of Man flag vessel SPARTACUS (93,196gt, built 2011) earlier today off Shanghai.
As a result of the accident, STELLE CHERISE suffered sea water ingress. Her crew abandoned the vessel and was rescued.
Salvors are attending the scene. The other vessel, SPARTACUS, suffered only minor damage. STELLA CHERISE is on a voyage from Zhangjiagang to Port Hedland.
