Reports have been received that Panamanian flag vessel MUSTAFA KAN (7,393gt built 2009) is taking on water off Italy and is expected to sink. The vessel’s crew of sixteen has been rescued.
The containership has reported water ingress into her engine room and anti pollution measures are being undertaken.
MUSTAFA KAN is on a voyage from Jorf Lasfar to Sibenik. She may also be carrying cargoes to and from other ports.
