Reports have been received that South Korean flag vessel BLACK PEARL (5,637gt, built 2010) is adrift off Gladstone, Australia, following an engine breakdown.
A tug has been despatched to assist the vessel. It is possible that claims for general average and/or salvage will arise as a result of the incident.
BLACK PEARL sailed from Kaohsiung on 11th April 2016 destined for Sydney.
